Halle Berry
American actress Halle Berry has come a long way since her early pageant days. The actress first made waves as a contestant in the 1986 Miss USA pageant. After winning first runner-up, Berry set out to New York to pursue an acting career. Sadly, the journey towards success was not all that easy for the actress. During her stay in the Big Apple, Berry ran out of money and relied on homeless shelters for accommodation. Later that year, Berry was cast to play Emily Franklin in Living Dolls. She then brought her journey to Los Angeles and started auditioning for more roles.
Berry finally became a legitimate Hollywood star when the Academy Awards nominated her for her role in Introducing Dorothy Dandridge. She inched closer to the top of the Hollywood hierarchy playing Storm in the X-Men franchise and Jinx Johnson in the James Bond franchise. Despite being in the industry for more than 30 years, Halle Berry still has her foot on the pedal and is yet to run out of gas.
