Matthew McConaughey

Academy Award-winner Matthew McConaughey has been in the industry for three decades. Throughout those years, he’s had a number of milestones and breakthroughs that transformed his career into what it is today.

Initially, the American actor was a commercial model and music video talent, appealing in Trisha Yearwood’s Walkaway Joe. He also started getting minor acting credits during this time before scoring his breakthrough role in the 1993 film Dazed and Confused. From 2001 until 2013, McConaughey became more of a household name after starring in a slew of romantic comedy films. However, seeking further recognition as a versatile actor, McConaughey sought out more serious roles. He eventually earned the lead part in the film Dallas Buyers Club, which later earned him an Oscars for Best Actor. Today, McConaughey is one of the most influential people in the world with his own star in the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
