Daniel Craig

While Daniel Craig has certainly embodied masculinity in recent years, that was not the case in the past. He started to rise to stardom back in 1996 with his appearance in Our Friends in the North. He then gained momentum in Hollywood through his appearances in Road to Perdition, I Dreamed of Africa, and Lara Croft: Tomb Raider. In 2006, he struck gold when he played the role of secret agent James Bond in Casino Royale.

While he has certainly been associated with Bond today, his casting was quite controversial at the time. Apparently, critics said that he did not embody the ideal physique of the secret agent. Today, said critics have been proven wrong, as Craig has become one of the most successful actors to ever portray Bond, with his latest being No Time to Die, set to release in October 2021. He has been given due credit for revitalizing the James Bond franchise.
