Chris Rock

Chris Rock has been one of the most successful comedians and actors around. He first made his start in comedy clubs before being discovered by Eddie Murphy. This led to him being cast in Murphy’s movie Beverly Hills Cop II in 1987. The rock struck gold in 1990 when he became a cast member on Saturday Night Live. While he was not among the show’s best members, his time there can be given credit for launching his stand-up career, which was successful.

His stand-up success saw him being cast as a leading man in many movies such as Beverly Hills Ninja, Lethal Weapon 4, and Sgt. Bilko. In addition, Rock has ventured into working behind the camera. Among the films he helped produced over the years include Down to Earth, Pootie Tang, and Head of State. Today, Rock has diversified his career, venturing into hosting award shows and performing in stage plays.
